Hey guys! I am super behind this week because I have been sucked into the Marvel Universe. Don’t send help, I love it too much. Moving on. Our movie that we dropped this week was The Babadook. If you haven’t seen it I’m sure you have seen the memes (kid screaming in the car) and you might think it’s a horror movie, but all in all it really isn’t. There is a lot of symbolism and a deeper meaning to the monster. This was a second watch for both of us and it was a lot less frightening…. (meanwhile me watching during the day, but I didn’t need to hide behind a blankie or start sweating like a maniac.) If you haven’t seen the movie, check it out. If horror movies aren’t really your thing, it still may be scary because there is a monster but the monster is a bigger representation of some thing I think we all face at some point in our lives.
